I do agree that the American Dream has changed over the years. The American Dream for many years was fame and fortune. As the years how gone on the American Dream has changed to growth and equality. For example, in Kings speech you can see the struggles he faced while fighting for equality and ending segregation. Now in America we are free to live are live s as we want,
Quarter 1 Columnist Rhetorical Analysis Reflection
This quarter I wrote my précis on Anna Applebaum's column's. In her columns she main wrote on how Donald Trump isn't good for America. In her columns she mainly uses logos and pathos to convey to her audience that Donald Trump is not Good for America. For example, she compares Donald Trumps ideas if those of a war lord to show how wrong Donald Trump is for American.
The Great Gatsby
I do agree on the perspective that the American people are always wanting more. For example, In “Paradox and Dream,” Steinbeck describes Americans as “a restless, dissatisfied, a searching people” (1)—we dream of buying a home, but once we get it, we’re dissatisfied and want something bigger. This a prime example on how the American people are so greedy and always wanting more than they need. Another example from " Great Gatsby " is how Jay Gatsby trying to achieve his dreams of wealth and Daisy’s love.

My oath is to spend more time on my essay so I can have a stronger argument. In my next essay I want to provide more examples and better analyze.
REFLECTION
In Quarter one I learned about the "American Dream" and what it stands for. It his quarter the most meaningful activity that the class did was the socratic seminar. The seminar help me better understand both text by hearing other people's opinion on the subject. During this quarter I learned how America has grown as a nation and have understand what life was like for numerous groups of people. I really wanted to skipped the précis papers the time spent they could of been spent on more essay practice. As second quarter begins I want to get a better grade than I'd got last quarter.
